The former Chief Executive Officer of Sierra Rutile-John Bonoh Sisay has announced that he is the next President of Sierra Leone. He made this pronouncement during his campaign trails across the country in Port Loko, Kambia Lungi and Kono.
He has been accompanied by some Government officials, Ministers and Members of Parliament such as the Deputy Minister of Tourism and Cultural Affairs-Dixon Bella, Hon. Alhaji Seray Dumbuya of Constituency 049 and Hon. Babah S. Kamara among host of others.
John Bonoh Sisay told thousands of his supporters as well as the party stalwarts in Lungi that, even though there are many interested candidates to succeed President Koroma as Chairman and Leader of APC, all of them will definitely unite under one leader.
John Sisay said despite several interests in the race for flag bearer of APC, the party will unite under the leadership of Chairman and Leader Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma to face the 2018 elections.
Addressing the crowd at the community field in Lungi where he launched the Join 4 Betteh Salone (J4BS) Lungi branch the fine gentleman said “there will be different individual interests and it will seem as we are not together but at the end the usual APC spirit of oneness will emerge and we will unite in the interest of the party.” He also added that, several members of the party have shown interest in succeeding the present Leader and Chairman as the next Presidential candidate for 2018. The race has been peaceful and Sierra Leone continues to implement a democratic process and he praised President Koroma for his leadership and hard work that has taken the party to an inspiring height.
During the launch of J4BS at Lungi, John Bonoh Sisay gave Le50 million micro credit and Le20 million scholarship to Kafu Bullom community to enhance their children unceasing education. He said with education, Sierra Leone will definitely develop at a faster rate because he says the world is now digital and that means every Sierra Leonean must be computer literate to be part of the new era.
During his visit in his home town Madina, Tonko Limba, Kambia District, a football match was organized in his name “Join 4 Betteh Salone” where he said he has contributed a lot to the success of the ruling Government and the All Peoples Congress in particular.
Whilst touring Port Loko District, he said “I’m humbled by the reception we received in Portloko Town, Northern Sierra Leone as we continue engaging with the people, stakeholders and party officials.” In the early hours of January 27, 2017 during the Town Hall meeting in Lunsar, Marampa Chiefdom he said he visited the Paramount Chief-Koblo Queen II and tell him the need to support him as the best choice for the party and Sierra Leone in general. He was accompanied by Hon. Babah S. Kamara when they arrived in Masimera Chiefdom to continue his national campaigns.
In Kono District, the APC flagbearer told residents, stakeholders and his supporters that he paid the salary for all the teachers in Koidu City to demonstrate his capability and willingness to spend more than all his competitors who are none of his match.
John Bonoh Sisay therefore donated Fifty Million Leones to the women. He said, “If any of the aspiring flagbearers come to solicit your support, ask them to provide you money if they can afford to spend more.”
It could be recalled that President Ernest Koroma had warned all flagbearers purporting that he has given them the ‘green light’ to campaign. The President gave a stern warning to all candidates to cease from campaigning under the ticket of the APC party during the APC National Youth League conference organized in Makeni in 2016. From all indications, John Sisay, Joseph F. Kamara, Alimamy Petito Koroma, Kaifala Marrah, Hon. Alpha Khan and Hon. Bundu have made public declarations and are currently campaigning across the country against the principles and philosophy of the APC Party.
